When the filter is blocked or the filter cake is too thick, the backwashing and regeneration cleaning process is activated to restore the filter's working performance. The system automatically switches the fluid flow direction, letting clean filtered fluid flow backward from the outlet to the inlet, scouring the filter medium and filter screen at a higher pressure. The reverse high-speed fluid impacts the filter cake and intercepted impurities, detaching them from the medium surface and discharging them through the sewage outlet. During backwashing, auxiliary methods such as air scrubbing or ultrasonic vibration can be combined to enhance the cleaning effect, thoroughly removing stubborn impurities inside the medium pores. The backwashing time and intensity are controlled by a program to ensure thorough cleaning without damaging the filter medium. After cleaning, the pressure difference returns to the normal range, the filter resumes forward filtration, and this regeneration process greatly extends the service life of the filter element and reduces operating costs.
