Regeneration Compressed Air Dryer

Principle of working :

The freeze dryer operates through three stages: freezing, primary drying, and secondary drying. During the freezing stage, the sample is placed on shelves inside the chamber and cooled to a temperature below the freezing point of water. The surrounding pressure is then reduced to create a vacuum, and heat is applied to the shelves to sublimate the frozen moisture. This results in the removal of approximately 95% of the water.

The primary drying stage is when the majority of the water is removed from the sample. This is achieved by slowly raising the temperature and pressure in the chamber to cause the remaining water to vaporize and leave the sample. The pressure is then reduced again to remove the vapor.

In the final stage, secondary drying, any remaining water molecules are removed through a process known as desorption. This is achieved by maintaining the vacuum in the chamber and raising the temperature slightly higher than the previous stage. This vaporizes any remaining water molecules and removes them from the sample.

In conclusion, the freeze dryer is an incredible machine that uses the scientific principle of sublimation to remove water from samples while maintaining the structural integrity of the sample. Using a freeze dryer allows for the preservation of samples and can be utilized in a wide range of industries, including food, pharmaceuticals, and research.
